In a latest report, popular characters of ‘Meri Bassai‘ – Magne Budha (Kedar Ghimire) and Takme Budha (Wilson Bikram Rai) have left the serial. In the recent episodes, these characters were not seen in the serial. In some earlier episodes, scenes of the characters totally unrelated to the story lines used to be inserted in the serial.
In the report, Kedar and Wilson have refused to shot new scenes in the serials until their past dues were paid. They claim that the producer of the show, Meida Hub, hasn’t paid them for the last eight months. According to the report, the artists of the other two popular comedy serials ‘Tito Satya‘ and ‘Jire Khursani‘ haven’t also received the payment for a long time.

Currently only Dhurmus and characters played by Sitaram Kattel are featured in ‘Meri Bassai’. Another popular character Suntali, played by Kunjana Ghimire is also absent in the serial because of her pregnancy.
In another report, Wilson and Kedar are told to be preparing a new serial of their own. If they start new serial, there is a high chance that ‘Meri Bassai’ will loose its popularity.
Cold war between Sitaram and Kedar has been going on for quite a while. When things went out of hand, they used to shot scenes separately and the editor joined them together.
